UIW is committed to providing educational opportunities to students from all backgrounds, regardless of financial means. More than 90 percent of UIW students receive financial assistance, and there are many opportunities available to students of all majors. We encourage our students to seek additional scholarships to finance their education through community organizations and foundation or accessing the opportunities listed below.
Open to full-time students entering their junior or senior year at a university in
Bexar County, Texas.
Open to female students studying journalism with a preference for sport journalism or broadcasting; have at least a 2.5 GPA, and be a junior or senior in college.
The application can be found under the individual section. Students need to click
on apply now and then create a user id and password.
Student must be attending a Texas college; graduate from a high school in Bexar, Kendall,
or Comal County; complete 12 hours in the field of interior design; be a US citizen;
have at least a 2.5 GPA; participate in civic or church groups and be unable to attend
college without financial assistance.
Open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents from South or West Texas. Must have completed at least 12 undergraduate credit hours before applying with
a minimum GPA 2.7. Available to full-time undergraduates, graduates, and professional

Open to graduating seniors of Alamo Heights High School-Class of 2019. Must be degree
seeking and maintain full-time enrollment.
Open to undergraduate or professional students from Webb County. Must submit a 2019-2020
FAFSA and demonstrate financial need. Must be in good academic standing and maintain
