Honors Symposium Featured Independent Student Projects

2017 Symposium PresentersSeniors and ambitious juniors in the Honors Program presented the results of their independent studies on Saturday, March 25, on topics ranging from biochemistry to company branding to lessons on leadership. This forum displays the spirit of the program as well as the proficiency of the students. See the full program for the full list of student projects.

One symposium presenter, Honors senior Paul Huron (front row in photo above), represented the university on March 28 at the Texas Undergraduate Research Day in Austin. Paul presented his thesis, "Development of a Signal Analysis Identification Program for Aircraft/Disaster Visualization by Converting Audio Signals using Fourier Transform Algorithms," in a poster presentation at the Capitol Building. His original research has implications for adaptation across many industries.
